NARRATIVE: On July 5, 2008 at 5:44 pm the Spokane City Fire department was dispatched to the Qualchan Golf Course for a reported brush and timber fire. A small fire was discovered in a remote part of the golf course the fire was burning slowly in a heavy concentration of ground cover and trees. The fire was contained and extinguished in about 3 hours. Crews from Fire District 10 and the Department of Natural Resources assisted in the extinguishment. There were no injuries to report. The cause of this fire is yet to be determined.
PROBABLE CAUSE: Under investigation
DAMAGE EXTENT: 60x80 brush and trees.
DOLLAR LOSS: 300.00
