Officials from the Spokane Fire Department, Spokane Police Department, Spokane Valley Fire Department, Department of Natural Resources and the Spokane Sheriff's Department held a press conference today to discusses the ban on fire works that exists in the City of Spokane and Spokane County.
Police and Fire Departments in Spokane County, credit the ban with lowering the number of fires and injuries over the 4th of July period. The fine for illegal discharge of fireworks is $513. In addition, you could be held liable for the any damages or the cost of fighting a fireworks caused fire.
