North side Gas Leak

Narrative:
On November 20, 2012 at 11; 44 PM, 7 companies of the Spokane Fire Department responded to a reported natural gas leak at 1311 W Maxine. The first arriving company SPL 13 investigated and reported that the resident and the homes on either side of the structure had been evacuated and that the leak appeared to be at or near the meter. SE 17 arrived and supplied a protection lead, at that time SPL 13 entered the Hot Zone and shut the gas off at the shut-off valve terminating the leak. Other crews from SL2, SL4, SE18, and SR1 checked the homes on the block to make sure the homes were safe for reoccupation. Vista arrived and repaired the meter.

Setting of soil underneath the gas meter

Repair to the gas meter
