ELECTRICAL PROBLEM MAY BE CAUSE OF FIRE
NORTHSIDE BASEMENT HEAVILY DAMAGED
**********************************************
Electrical causes are being investigated as the source of a fire that started in the basement of a north Spokane home late Friday. Both occupants of the home were uninjured.
Firefighters arrived about 10:20 pm to find a single-family, one-story house full of smoke. The fire burning in the walls and ceiling in the basement was quickly extinguished.
All utilities to the house had to be turned off and smoke damage extended throughout the home at 1912 E. Dalke. Fellow church members were going to provide lodging for the residents.
Damage was estimated at $60,000.
