Suspicious South Hill fire under investigation

The Spokane Fire Department is investigating a suspicion fire that damaged a vacant South Hill home. Firefighters quickly extinguished the Wednesday night fire and no one was injured.

The fire was reported at 8:52 pm. Crews arrived on scene quickly and had the fire under control in about 15 minutes. The attic, roof and exterior of the home were damaged by the fire. Damage was estimated at $25,000.

The cause of the fire is suspicious and an investigation by the Special Investigation Unit is ongoing.
