FIREFIGHTERS QUICKLY CONTAIN HOUSE FIRE
CAUSE UNDER INVESTIGATION; NO ONE INJURED

The cause of a fire that damaged an unoccupied home in north Spokane late Friday is under investigation.
Callers reported flames coming from the roof of the home at 1409 W. Fairview Ave. at 10:03 pm. Firefighters from six trucks contained the fire within 20 minutes to the kitchen, upstairs and attic areas of the one-and-a-half-story house. Damage was estimated at $25,000.
