NARRATIVE: On Friday July 17, 2009 Fire Crews from the Spokane Fire Department Technical Rescue Team responded at 7:42 PM to Northwest Boulevard and Kiernan on a reported car over the embankment. Fire crews from Fire Station 16 and Station 3 were on scene and reported that a mini van had lost control and traveled over 150 feet down the embankment and stopped approximately 50 feet above Aubrey L. White road below. Fire crews stabilized the patient while the Technical Rescue team stabilized/secured the vehicle and established a low-angle rope system to lower the patient to the road below. There were no injuries to any firefighters and the patient was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation
