Narrative:
On June 4th, 2011 at 3:26 P.M. the Spokane Fire Department responded 3 engine companies, 1 ladder company, a pumper ladder company, 1 rescue unit and 2 battalion chiefs to a report of a natural gas leak in the Manito Park neighborhood located at 46 W. 25th. Fire crews found a residential gas line ruptured behind a private residence. A protective hose line was placed, and at the same time, a coordinated house by house search was conducted in order to make sure the leaking gas was confined to the local area. A backhoe working in the area severed the gas line.
