Narrative:
Testing of ALERT Spokane, the emergency notification system will occur on October 17, 18, 19 between the hours of 9am and 8:30 pm. Test calls may be received on landline phones, self-registered cell phones or self registered VoIP phones. The message will be: "This is ALERT Spokane, the community emergency notification system. This is a test, please do not hang up. We are conducting a test of ALERT Spokane throughout the Spokane County area. In the event of an emergency ALERT Spokane could be used to alert you to take action or evacuate. Thank you for your cooperation." ALERT Spokane is used to send a telephone message to residents and businesses within the county that are impacted by, or in danger of being impacted by an emergency or disaster.
