ISSUING OFFICER: AC Schaeffer
DATE OF INCIDENT: 5/31/2010
INCIDENT TYPE: Information
INCIDENT ADDRESS: 44 W Riverside
CITY: Spokane
STATE: WA
ZIP: 99201

NARRATIVE: Memorial Day is observed to commemorate men & women who have died in the military service of our country.

Along with visiting cemeteries and attending special events, we ask you to join members of the SFD and our families in a National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. Spokane time. Details can be found at: http://www.remember.gov/

While some never return from battle, every Soldier, Sailor, Airman and Marine loses a small part of themselves with those they must leave behind. One of the most respectful things that we can do as Americans is to ask the warriors among us to recount their memories of the beloved friends and colleagues who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Freedom certainly is not free, and we are very privileged in our Country to enjoy it. Blessings and Thank You from the SFD to all of our protectors in the military this Memorial Day.
