South Hill Garage Fire

Narrative:
On Monday, August 29 at 09:10 PM, the Spokane Fire Department dispatched 4 Engines, 2 Ladders, 1 Heavy Rescue and 2 Battalion Chiefs to a reported structure fire at 1210 E. 15th. Engine 14 under the direction of Lt. Stockdill arrived within 5 minutes of being dispatched. He reported a two car garage with heavy fire showing from the front of the structure. There was one vehicle inside the garage. 14's crew advanced a pre-connected hose line off their apparatus and attacked the fire. Additional lines were deployed by other crews to protect the adjacent home and extinguish the fire. The fire was knocked down within 5 minutes. Fire crews were on the scene for a couple of hours making sure the fire was out. There were no injuries at this fire. The garage and vehicle sustained heavy damage from the fire. The fire cause is still under investigation at this time, but early indicators are moving the investigation towards a cause that is probably electrical in nature.
