NARRATIVE: SIU Arrest:
Spokane Fire Department investigators arrested a twelve year-old male last week accused of intentionally setting a fire on the exterior of the Wal-Mart building located at 2301 West Wellesley. The incident occurred at 3:10 AM on June 10th and involved storage materials and a"storage pod" located on the exterior of the building. The storage pod was approximately thirty eight feet long, eight feet wide and eight feet in height. It sustained damage from direct fire impingement and stored a significant amount of fixtures and equipment intended for sale by Wal-Mart. The estimated loss/damage is $7500.00.
The youth was booked into Juvenile Detention and is charged with Second Degree Arson.
