North Battalion Multiple Alarm Fire

Narrative:
On Sunday, Sept 25, at 8:42 PM, the Spokane Fire Department responded 4 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Heavy Rescue, and 2 Battalion Chiefs to a reported structure fire at the intersection of Garland and Post in the Garland District. The calling party had reported that the Milk Bottle restaurant was on fire and that it was spreading to other structures. The first companies arrived quickly and confirmed that there was a fire in the attic of the Milk Bottle and it was rapidly spreading to the business next door to the west. A second alarm was called at 8:56 and a third alarm was called at 9:18 bringing 7 additional companies and command staff to the scene. The fire was declared under control at 10:41. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
Cause:
The cause is under investigation by the Dept's SIU
Damage:
Both buildings were heavily damaged
