3rd Alarm Update

Narrative:
The SIU has determined that last evening's fire started between the Milk Bottle Restaurant and Ferguson's Café in an open area. The open area is wide enough to walk between the buildings. There was a large volume of ordinary combustibles (cardboard, plastics, etc) on the ground level up against the Milk Bottle restaurant. The fire started at the ground level in the above mentioned items. The fire reached a ground level natural gas meter which intensified the fire growth. At this point in the investigation, it is simply too early to state a cause with the amount of work that remains. *Media, I am in training all day but will return your call or email as soon as possible if you have specific questions or needs.

Damage:
Ferguson's Café is completely destroyed. The Milk Bottle Restaurant has many levels of damage and is still being assessed for structural integrity. Cost estimates from the fire are still being tabulated but the total is expected to be above $1,000,000.
