Incident #:
Date of Incident:  9/9/2011
Issuing Officer:  AC Schaeffer

Narrative:
A Memorial Wall listing the names of an ADDITIONAL 55 FDNY members who have died in the last 10 years due to World Trade Center-related illnesses, was recently unveiled at FDNY Headquarters. These members on the Wall died of illnesses related to their work at the World Trade Center during and after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Very sadly, the reality is that many more names will be added over the following years. During all of the SFD's correspondence with the media and public, we have constantly mentioned the 343 Men lost on 9-11 from the FDNY. This separate Media Release is meant to highlight the MOST RECENT FDNY Line of Duty Deaths that few people are aware of. May they rest in peace, the 343+.
